9 to 5 - Patio Playhouse Auditions

Music and Lyrics by Dolly Parton. Book by Patricia Resnick. Based on the seminal 1980 movie hit. Set in the late 1970’s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic. Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss.

Please prepare a one minute cut of a song in the style of the show (pop/country). Please bring an updated resume and headshot and any known future conflict dates through the rehearsal period and performances (June 1 – Sept 2).

Auditions will require sheet music for the accompanist. No backing tracks, or a capella singing. Please be sure to mark your cut appropriately and in the correct key.
