Auditions: Battle for North Star

Battle for North Star:  The Final Chapter

All roles are open. We are looking for a wide range of individual actors to create a show around.  Each role is written for a specific actor.  Video auditions are due by Friday, September 1, 2023 by 9pm. Please prepare a 1-2 minute song selection in any style and submit a current headshot and resume.  Email your video and materials to jessica@typsandiego.org or send a YouTube or Vimeo link. Callbacks will be in person by invitation only to read from the show  at our rehearsal space at 7960 University Ave, Suite 240, La Mesa, CA 91942. Rehearsals are Fridays 5pm-8:30pm, Saturdays 12pm-6pm and Sundays 3pm-8pm starting November 3 thru November 30, plus November  16, 27, 28, 29, and 30 from 4:30pm-8:30pm. Performances will run from December 1 to December 19, 2023 at our theater space in La Mesa.

For This Production: If you are cast, then there is a production fee of $200.  Parents are required to volunteer at two of the performances.

**If you have been in one of our shows over the past year, then you are not required to submit an audition video. However, you must send us an email indicating your interest. You will be invited straight to callbacks.

Synopsis
Please join Theater for Young Professionals this holiday season for their third original musical, Battle for North Star:  The Final Chapter, written by the artistic team of TYP. It’s two days until Christmas and the North Star mall is packed with shoppers, a show choir and Santa’s helpers. A festive day descends into chaos. We hope you will join us for this hilarious and joyful evening of holiday cheer!
