Oceanside Theatre Company is now accepting video submissions for WELCOME TO SLEEPY HOLLOW, a musical thriller, to run October 6 through October 29 at The Brooks Theater in Oceanside, California. NON-UNION.
Note: Video submissions must be received by midnight, June 26th.
PLAY SYNOPSIS
Katrina Van Tassel feels like she’s outgrown the village school in Sleepy Hollow until an unwanted suitor and a fascinating new school teacher changes her mind. Unfortunately, her jilted would-be lover isn’t the only obstacle in the way of her budding romance with the new headmaster Ichabod Crane. Shortly after arriving to town, Ichabod is haunted by the Woman in White and learns of the town’s horrifying history and legend of the headless horseman. Can the young couple defy human and supernatural interlopers to find happiness? Welcome to Sleepy Hollow by Heather Megill is a thrillingly updated and Romantic ride through one of America’s most beloved tales.
AUDITION
This is a NON-UNION production. Initial auditions will be by VIDEO SUBMISSION only. To submit, please record and upload a video of yourself singing a musical theatre-appropriate song and email the video link (i.e. Dropbox or YouTube), along with your headshot and résumé to: auditions@oceansidetheatre.org.
Note: Video submissions must be received by midnight, June 26th.
When recording your video submission, please state at the beginning your name and the character for which you are auditioning. You may sing more than one song, with contrasting styles, but please keep the total time to no more than two minutes.
Résumés must be in MS Word or PDF format. Please do NOT send Apple Pages documents.

CALLBACKS
Callbacks will be by invitation only and will be held in person, Sunday, July 9 and Monday, July 10 from 6:30 pm-10:30pm at The Brooks Theater. Actors will be given sides from the script in advance.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Rehearsals will begin August 14. Rehearsals will be Sunday through Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons until Tech. Most or all rehearsals will be at The Brooks Theater in Oceanside.
PERFORMANCE TIMES AND LOCATION
Performances will be from October 6 to 29, 2023, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm, at The Brooks Theater (OTC) located at 217 North Coast Highway, Oceanside, CA 92054.
COMPENSATION
OCEANSIDE THEATRE COMPANY COMPLIES WITH AB5. Actors will be paid per hour for all rehearsals and performances.
