We are now accepting sign-ups for auditions scheduled for May 2023 for our summer Pride concert “Stronger Together / Más Fuertes Juntos.”

Everyone who would like to audition for the chorus must fill out an online audition form and attend our Info Night presentation scheduled for Monday, May 1, 2023 at 6:00pm at the University Christian Church, 3900 Cleveland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92103. Our first rehearsal will follow at 7pm; you are welcome to attend and sit in to learn more about how our rehearsals work. Auditions will be scheduled on Tuesday, May 2 and Wednesday, May 3 between 7:00pm – 10:00pm, also at University Christian Church.

You must fill out an audition form for consideration for our “Stronger Together / Más Fuertes Juntos” concert. Your audition form will be kept on file, and we will follow up with you in the next few weeks with more information about auditions and how to schedule a specific audition time slot.

This is an exciting time to join the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus! If you are also an alumnus of the Chorus and have not been back since the COVID-19 pandemic, we welcome you to come back and audition! We will wrap up our 38th season with “Stronger Together / Más Fuertes Juntos,” teaming up with not one but two other choruses for a spectacular international celebration of Pride. We will be joined by the biggest and most fabulous queer chorus in Mexico, Coro Gay Ciudad de México from Mexico City, and our neighbor and new kid on the block, Coro Gay de Tijuana. We will perform “Stronger Together / Más Fuertes Juntos” not just here in San Diego, but also in Mexico City and Tijuana. Our performance schedule is as follows:

“Stronger Together” in Mexico City: June 10-11, 2023 (travel days June 9 and June 12)
“Stronger Together” in Tijuana: July 27, 2023
“Stronger Together” in San Diego: July 29 – 30, 2023
If you join the chorus this May, you are required to perform “Stronger Together / Más Fuertes Juntos” here in San Diego. You are strongly encouraged to perform in Mexico City if your schedule and personal finances allow. You will also need a US Passport to travel between the US and Mexico. We will go over this travel schedule and related expenses in greater detail on Info Night.
