My name is Mia Rivera and I am a junior at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. Ever since the 6th grade, performing arts has been a passion of mine, and even something that I want to pursue in the future as a career.  In order to improve on my skills, I take vocal lessons, dance lessons, and occasionally some acting lessons with mentors such as Rebecca Drake, Tamlyn Shusterman, and Ellen Warkentien. Whether it’s in the shower or in the car with some friends, I’m always singing. In fact, singing is my favorite out of the three main components of musical theatre (singing, dancing, and acting). When I am not partaking in anything musical theatre related, you can find me shopping at the mall, drawing, or playing some of my favorite video games on my PC or PS4.
