Ashley Cutright has sung leading roles with many musical theater and opera companies across the US and Canada, including Anchorage Opera, Pensacola Opera, Tulsa Opera, Opera Iowa, Opera North, Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, Urban Arias, Irving Theater, Opera on the Avalon, Enid Symphony, Opera Neo, Opera Iowa, Skylark Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, and many more!

She was praised in the Washington Post for her performance in the lead role of Hannah, in As One: “Ms. Cutright had a luminous mezzo soprano voice; her radiant acting externalized the character’s inner conflict”. Ashley has developed a passion for new music, while maintaining a love for the classic musical theater and opera repertoire. Her favorite roles performed include the title role in Carmen, and the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Ashley moved to Manhattan in 2008 to attend a masters program in music and theater. After many years of traveling for professional engagements, she fell in love with San Diego, and decided to change her home base from New York to California, and currently resides in La Jolla.
