Chloe Cruz
Performing Professional: Actor, Dancer, Singer
My name is Chloe Cruz, a senior at San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. I have a great admiration for the arts, languages and nature. Some of my most recent credits include, Body Talk, a new work by Clinton Sherwood, Mrs. Walker in The Who's Tommy, multiple roles in Laramie Project and Alice Beineke in The Addams Family. I was was awarded National Champion 2020 Freshman Division by NYA for my performance of “Sunday in the Park with George.” I was a Merit Award recipient for The Music Center’s Spotlight 2021 for Non-Classical Voice and I performed "Bride's Lament" and "Summer in Ohio" in CCAE's Rising Stars 2021. My favorite musical is Sunday in the Park with George by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. I love how the story is told of the impressionist artist Georges Seurat and she loves everything, Sondheim. My favorite artist is Hieronymus Bosch for his beautiful painting The Garden of Earthly Delights. One of my biggest vocal inspirations is the beautiful, late Edith Piaf. When I am not vocal training, I study Greek, Russian, piano, acting and dance. I have native proficiency in English, moderate proficiency in Russian and Greek with a limited working proficiency in Spanish and French. I also love to paint and draw as well as volunteer at my local nature center in my spare time. Overall, I love to learn and grow as an artist and devote my life to it.
